Marsaxlokk obtain 3rd consecutive win

Marsaxlokk obtained their 3rd consecutive win to go 4 points clear of 2nd placed Vittoriosa.  On Sunday we have beaten St Patick for the 3rd time this season, this time 2-1.  We managed to obtain the lead after 17 minutes when, after a clearance, a shot by William Camenzuli was deflected into the net by a defender.

In the second half we continued to be superior to our opponents and doubled the score through Leighton Grech after 57 minutes.  St Patrick pressed us to come back into the game, but were never dangerous.  Two minutes into injury time, St Patrick were awareded a penalty with which they scored their only goal.

With this win we have 27 pts, Vittoriosa are in second place with 23 and St Georges and Balzan are in 3rd place with 22 points.  On Sunday we will be meeting Mosta.
